Greetings
Welcome to the Indian summer 2013 edition of
The South Shore Magazine,
which is also our
STAR OF EXCELLENCE AWARD issue.
Thank you for taking the time to provide the positive feedback regarding the new look in overall design, ink and paper. You won’t be disappointed as you peruse this issue, our highest page count to date. We are very excited to offer immediately, a digital version of South Shore Magazine, which can be found on our website www.thesouthshoremagazine.com which can be viewed on the go, on your laptop, tablet or smartphone.
I am happy to announce The South Shore Magazine’s Star of Excellence award. The recipients of this award were chosen by the staff of Black Rock Advertising and its affiliates as well as by a select group of business associates here on the South Shore. The Star of Excellence award is given to companies in our area that we feel provide and exemplify overall excellence in the quality of the product, service and total experience that they provide to their clients and customers. Learn about these many fine companies and organizations in the pages to follow. Please let them know that you saw them in THE South Shore Magazine.
I know I do not have to tell you that we live in a very special area, the South Shore, the place we call home. I have had the pleasure to meet socially and interview on our weekly radio show: SOUTH SHORE LIVE on 95.9 FM WATD international musician Steve Smith who resides in Scituate and is a founding member of the band “Dirty Vegas” as well as plays locally with the Aldous Collins Band.
Steve travels all over the world to play to the fans of Dirty Vegas in Europe, North America, Mexico, South America, Asia, India, Africa, and all points of the globe. During a conversation with Steve, he expressed the feeling of many who live, work and play on the South Shore when he said so eloquently that he “finds life on the South Shore magical, with the deep sense of community, beautiful beaches and landscapes, just a wonderful place to raise a family,” he can’t imagine a better place to live.
This philosophy is very important to all of us at South Shore Magazine and South Shore Live as well. We live here, we work here, we shop here, and we are here! We know the South Shore better than those that are “LIVING” elsewhere. We are deeply rooted in the community, entrenched in local events and activities of our towns and region that is THE SOUTH SHORE. We are actively involved with non-profit organizations and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and have our finger on the pulse of what is happening now and in the future.
Thank you for reading our magazine, listening to our radio show and following us online, on our website and Facebook. Let us know how we are doing! I hope you enjoy this issue of South Shore Magazine.
Cheers!
