Publisher’s Letter Spring 2013
Greetings, I hope that this letter finds you well. Spring is FINALLY here; spring is a time of new opportunity, a time of change and growth.
Well, as you can see we have seized some opportunities and made some changes and have certainly grown. Our Spring 2013 issue, with a focus on the destination of “the new Plymouth” is very exciting—we focus on the new business and vibe of the new Plymouth. Forget the Plymouth of The Rock, The Mayflower and Plimoth Plantation. Plymouth and the surrounding area is the largest growth area in the entire state of Massachusetts. In this issue we profile some the movers and shakers in the business community that are transforming this historic tourist destination into a year round hub of commerce.
I think you may also have noticed our new look! We are printing on a new matte finish paper. I really am excited about the hip, cool look and feel of this, as well as the updated design elements infused by our Art Director, Christine Dietterich. This new paper is more environmentally friendly as it is not coated with a gloss finish; we also have utilized SOY BASED INKS in our process. Both of these elements are environmentally friendly. I also encourage you all to recycle your copies of South Shore Magazine when everyone in your home has read it, or pass it along to a friend.
With this issue I asked everyone on our team to push the envelope and to take South Shore Magazine to the next level and the result has been far beyond my expectations. We took one big quantum leap. I would like to thank Christine Dietterich from the art and production side, Jen Nonenmacher our editor and writer (and anything else that needs to be done) as well as our writing and photography staff (see masthead page) for their can-do attitude.
Lastly I would like to extend special thanks to our strategic partner Ted Stamas of Jetset Events for knocking the cover off the ball for the development of new clients in the Plymouth area.
Please make sure to let the businesses profiled and advertising in South Shore Magazine, that you saw their business in THE South Shore Magazine.
ENJOY!
