CHRISTINE HAMORI
Cosmetic Surgery & Skin Spa
~ By Suzette Martinez Standring
For a fresher, younger face, Christine A. Hamori, M.D. of Duxbury is now offering two new cosmetic rejuvenation treatments. Experienced and board certified, Dr. Hamori was named one of the “Best 2011 Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons” by Plastic Surgery Practice, a national peer review magazine.
Located at 95 Tremont Street, Suite 28 in Duxbury, Christine Hamori Cosmetic Surgery + Skin Spa is devoted to helping both women and men achieve a positive body image. A youthful appearance at any age is possible due to advances in the art and science of plastic surgery.
A leader in such advances, and one of the South Shore’s busiest cosmetic injectors, Dr. Hamori was chosen to pilot Xeomin, the most recently FDA approved neurotoxin. Xeomin, a purer form of botulinum toxin, is for wrinkle reduction and eyebrow shaping, the same as Botox and Dysport. Xeomin was widely used throughout Europe for years before receiving FDA approval in the U.S. last July.
To maintain a youthful visage, many patients now prefer a non-surgical approach. The “liquid face lift” is accomplished by using “injectables” to plump up lines to give a more youthful appearance. Such injectables (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport) relax muscles. Others rejuvenate the face by restoring volume and filling lines. Such fillers include Radiesse, Restylane/Perlane, Juvéderm, and Sculptra. Dr. Hamori is able to customize a skin strategy best suited for a patient’s age and needs. She has been training cosmetic doctors on the use of these fillers for the past five years.
At Dr. Hamori’s medical skin spa, a new generation of fractional laser is available. Clear + Brilliant Skin Enhancement Laser improves the skin’s complexion, tone, texture and radiance. Clear + Brilliant is best suited for women in their twenties to forties to slow the aging process of the face. The laser procedure is based on Fraxel technology, developed by Solta Medical, Inc. in California. The fifteen-minute procedure smoothes the texture of the skin as it eliminates sunspots and other discolorations, while stimulating the production of collagen, the protein that creates soft, supple skin. Previous evidence of sun damage, such as brown spots, fade and a new, more youthful skin appears.
Those seeking a more youthful and healthy appearance can benefit from new technologies and the expertise available now at Christine Hamori Cosmetic Surgery + Skin Spa. Skin and injectable consultations are complimentary. The office is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
